|A retreat for the well-being of my mind from the insanity of the life that is mine.|

Mood: Normal. Whatever that means... A little blue for no reason as well.
Currently listening to: Fly me to the moon - Frank Sinatra
Pretty normal day all in all. Went to uni, studied, chatted with Abe and Jason, did some LAN gaming, had some coffee and then went home. I hate monotony.
Abe was ranting about Max Payne today and how Alex is playing it at the moment... reminds me that i haven't actually played a video game (solo) for quite some time now. Suddenly have an urge to play Max Payne again... mmm... yeah, that would hit the spot. Nothing like some stylish effects (bullet time!), cool and mindless virtual violence to kill the time...
The only note of interest is that of my visiting the shrink today. Didn't feel that it was very productive since i was in a much better state than the previous time i had gone to see her. The discussion mainly revolved around pinpointing the issues which caused me to act the way i was - i say 'was' because i have not been afflicted with any headaches, voices or tangible signs of my previous behaviour for a while now... It's amazing what a mother can do - either that or i just needed a woman in my life! ;p
To borrow a quote from Benjamin Franklin - "God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made mothers." Not that i'm revoking any of my beliefs about religion but this phrase does strike me as truthful in the comparison that it makes... Thanks mom.
Well my session with the shrink also included many discussions on my relationships with friends, family and especially my father (dunno, apparently there's something here that got her thinking - maybe she'll let me know in future sessions). Getting more comfortable talking to her now although i have to admit that i'm still hiding quite a bit from her... i guess it just takes time and trust to get this all out but unfortunately time is not exactly something which i have - will probably have to continue with another shrink in KL (anybody know a good, cost-effective one?). On the bright side she has determined that i'm not completely psychotic. Damn, and i so wanted to be labelled that... hmmm, maybe i should have mentioned the devil worshipping? ;p
Well, the holiday plans are shaping up nicely and Abe has decided to accompany me on my journey - something tells me that we're going to be caught up in a few escapades that will make it memorable... ;)
Watched an advertisement on SBS just now for a show called If Only. It's basically interviews with people describing where they are today in relation to a major choice in the past which they regretted making or which changed their life forever. Haven't watched the show yet but its starting to sound like a very sorrowful one... Ah, regrets - should've, could've, would've... but didn't. I guess the lesson is to seize the moment, which is easier said than done... but then again, to perpetually live in that moment of the past, in that choice, and asking yourself for the rest of your life what might have been if you had taken that risk - now THAT's scary. And depressing... you can always move on but you can never really forget... *sigh*
...until a new opportunity comes a 'knockin! ;)
*urgh* Feeling VERY unmotivated at the moment.
Can't be bothered with the news roundup in my current mood - that and there's so much weird shit out there today its scary. Seriously. Check it all out yourselves at Rotten.com and The Drudge Report if you don't believe me.
*yawn* Me sleepy now. Sleep. Sweet, sweet sleep...
