A retreat for the well-being of my mind from the insanity of the life that is mine.

Another sleep deprived night in the OSS lounge... assignment done but only just! Collapsed on the keyboard and then the couch and managed to get about 4 hours of shut-eye for the day... That, and i think my spine is slowly getting distorted by the couch cushions... :p

Jason and i went to see the Investigations Officer today at Clayton campus - and the security office there looks so much like a police station its scary! That and upon walking in i noticed the stacks of books on psychology, criminal investigations, 'Controlling the Dialogue, and so forth... hmmm, intimidating but we were prepared! I don't really want to get into all the details of it, since i believe that Jason wishes for it to remain private, but i felt it went well. The bottom line is that he has not been excluded, suspended or fined due to a satisfactory proposition put forth by the university which was debated and clarified on all counts. *Phew* Thank Jeebus (shameless Simpsons plug) that this issue has been laid to rest once and for all - although Jason will have to watch what he says in the near future... ;)

Congrats OJ!!! :)

Still, that's only the beginning i suppose... The meeting on Saturday has been postponed due to the no-show from the previous MONYX meeting and the fact that the party in question cannot attend on Saturday as well to answer to the OSS committee. The 'Twilight of the Gods' will have to wait a while longer i'm afraid...

Still, I just say that it gives us more time to prepare... ;)

While at Clayton we went down to the MUISS office to see the committee there and to pick up the MMN videotapes for MPEG conversion and to find out what was happening on their end. Well, walked into the MUISS lounge and first thing i get asked is "How are things in the OSS?" (You know who you are! *grin*). How did they know? They read my blog... which makes me feel great since now i know that someone actually reads this thing - until they started laughing that is (Yvonne and company are EVIL i tell you!)... ;p

Anyhow, the tapes weren't there so we just chatted to Ryan and May about MMN for a bit and had to leave (please realise that i had still not taken a shower by that point!) since i was to meet Nigel and friends at 9pm in Caulfield...

Anyhoo, long story short i sort of got embroiled (ok, implicated) in a spat between two of my best friends (over a girl! No surprise really) on icq. Man, personal arguments are the WORST... especially when its with one of your closest friends and there is a sudden revelation of a breach of trust - when you are the breacher! :(

Now that was a downer, but i went over personally to try and resolve it immediately and i'm glad that we got that settled (i hope... you're too good a friend to lose! BOTH of you!). I learnt my lesson though - never again will i reveal things which were to be kept in confidence, no matter what i feel about the situation (mind you i can keep a secret... its just that this time... ah, drop it). And that includes the identities of the people in this... Once again i'm really sorry :(

Finally relaxed when i met up with Nigel and his friends to go watch Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl. Haven't met up with him in quite a while and it was good talking to him and telling him about the problems the OSS is running into this year. Have i ever mentioned that it was Nigel who got me into the whole OSS thing? With an article for our (now defunct) OSS mag on homosexuality on campus - which was organised by none other than a then Queer Officer, Tim Wilson (who was to become the Union president, while i became the OSS Director during his term - weird huh?) ;)

Hey Nigel (if you're reading this), you're the last of the 'Old Guard' at the end of this year! Watch over the OSS when the rest of us become extinct ok boss? ;p

Had a good time tonight all in all with coffee and a good movie... I totally recommend Pirates (and not just because i love the whole pirate genre) because it was well-made (check out the moonlight effects in the cave), hilarious, intriguing and had an AMAZING performance by Johnny Depp as the most eccentric pirate captain you've ever seen (you savvy? *insane hand getures follow*)!

Whoa, long post so i'll leave it at that...

Website will be updated tommorow (Saturday)!

Mmmm... bed... its been soooo long since i've last lain within your warm and seductive caress... purrr...
