Mood: Feeling a little tired
Currently listening to: The Thomas Crown Affair Theme - Nina Simone

Got bored so decided to post a blog while i was at it... ;)

Well, dinner was good - i really stuffed myself silly tonight! Had a HUGE chicken schnitzel at La Porchetta and a Mousse au chocolat while also polishing off what was left of Caroline's chicken caesar salad... mmmm... It was good to see Joa and the gang (well, some of them anyway) together again. Makes me realise just how rare such moment are now that so many of my friends have graduated or are not involved with the OSS anymore... well, things change but i'm glad that our personalities haven't! Hahaha!!! Nothing like a little tomfoolery to get the conversation going... ;)

Social life seems to be on the upswing - having dinner with most of the same people again plus Chen Hoe, Gerard and Oaky tommorow evening at TGIF on Chapel followed by the usual obligatory drinking/coffee... Yep, life is tough! ;p

Well, after the dinner i ended up with my mother and cousins at Old Kingdom where i proceeded to eat some duck with them - if you've never eaten Peking duck there before, i highly recommend it! It's quite possibly the best i've ever had!!! No, scratch that - its 'da bomb' people!!! ;p

Took my mother to the airport after that and said my farewells... It wasn't too hard because lets face it, this would be about the millionth time we've done this and i'll be seeing her in two weeks anyhow. Still, thanks ma - you might not have totally realised it but you saved my sanity by being here at the right time, with the right advice, and i'll never forget that. Love ya, as i always will... :)

Well, met up with Chen Hoe at the airport after that (he was picking up a friend's brother) to talk over tommorow's meeting and we went to Cafe Greco at Crown for some cake and coffee (*urgh* stomach... exploding... but... must... eat!). Damn, really should cut down on my food intake... came back home and did another set of push ups and situps for good measure... ;)

Ha! And guess what i received in my Friendster? Check it out:

Whooooa... surprising to say the least... ;p

Am somewhat sceptical about it (why do they need my IC number? And the email is a yahoo one?) - but will do a little 'research'. Still, saw no harm in replying back with most of the details (what the hell, it was on Friendster pretty much) and she seems to know some people who i know (vaguely - time for some interrogating). What do y'all think? I'm gong to ask my bro - he's had some advertising experience in the past and his agent is pretty good...

*yawn* Decided to cut my links down to eight in total per day, news and otherwise... ;)

Today's links:

The end of the oil age - "The Stone Age did not end for lack of stone, and the Oil Age will end long before the world runs out of oil." Intriguing article on, well, the evils of the Oil age and how new viable technologies will change the economic and political landscape in the years to come. A new future? We'll see...

UC Berkeley professor George Lakoff tells how conservatives use language to dominate politics - Apparently conservatives are the new communicators having spent "...decades defining their ideas, carefully choosing the language with which to present them, and building an infrastructure to communicate them." Lakoff's theory on why and how the Republicans are currently in power.

Biological Basis For Creativity Linked To Mental Illness - A definitive study on the link between madness and genius? Is there hope for Pat? *grinz* ;p

Where do lego bricks come from? - Flash animation (and a really well done one too!) showing this process - it's so cute! (But is it true?)

C.U.D.D.L.E. International - Cousins United to Defeat Discriminating Laws through Education, is a privately funded organization dedicated to dispelling social prejudices and discriminating laws based on common myths about cousin marriages (what the...???).

How rich are YOU? - Cool little calculator that indicates how rich you are in proportion to the rest of the world, and even what number you are on the list, depending on your income. All i can say is that i REALLY need a job... ;)

Random stupid shit that you can buy - The things people will buy these days... *tsk tsk*

British and Continental Giant Rabbits - Oh. My. God. I would so love to eat... errr... i mean cuddle one of these giant fellas... ;)
