Mood: Relaxed
Currently listening to: Amphetamine - Everclear

Was pretty tired most of today and didn't do too much... mmm... lazy Sundays... :)

Went for lunch with my Godfather Bernard, his son Michael my parents and bro... haven't had crabs for some time now... mmm... crustaceans...

Met up with Jonathan and Leonard to play some Generals for most of today and then went mamak... Was invited to go to Kwong Heng's family dinner courtesy of his mom in order to dispense some 'advice' on Canada to Rand who will be leaving for McGill University in Montreal for a year on an exchange program. Not sure what i could have said other than 'dress REALLY warm' and 'get a French to English dictionary' (meh, as if even that would help... crazy Quebecquois don't even speak modern French)... that and Jonathan's leaving for England tommorow so i thought i'd better hang out with him before he left. Maaan, gonna miss my ol' buddy... those were some pretty fun times over the last two weeks (and i'm STILL amazed that we were still in touch even after 6+ years!)...

Julian is also going back tommorow but i'll hopefully see him and anyone else in Singapore next month (hopefully)... Also need to get in touch with Boon who's apparently down in KL. He's an old friend of mine, Johor boy, met him in the college i was studying in back in Canada... hehe, still remember his nickname was 'omelette' (Western? Isn't that a...? *grin*). Might try to go down to Singapore with him or Leonard... hopefully there'll be some interesting nightlife down there. ;)

And, yeah, that's my day... no sports since its a Sunday and didn't get a chance to work on the painting i'm planning on doing... all i've got so far are a few sketches. Geez, it really seems as if i'm a hell of a lot busier here than when i was back in Melbourne... can't believe its only been two weeks so far!

Got a couple of invites to New Years Eve parties... debating now on which one to go to... why did i ever worry about not having a social life here? ;p

Went blog surfing (oh yah, need to get intouch with Janice, she's in KL now) but doesn't seem like anyone has updated their blogs since Xmas (sans Boon and Janice) - even Byron!

Anyway, got my batteries recharged today so will try and get something productive done tommorow... that, and my eyes have yet to recover from watching the Butch Beyonce Slutty Dance Bridgade with their dorm video of Beyonce's Crazy in Love... :O

Today's Links:

No sex please, you're Chinese - "An Israeli company has required thousands of Chinese workers to sign a contract promising not to have sex with Israelis or try to convert them, a police spokesman said today." Well damn, we wouldn't want to sully the chosen ones with mongoloid features now would we? (haha! Hey Abe! Maybe they should try and prevent horny Israeli men from going after chinese girls? ;p)

10 Ads America won't see - Awesome article, with all the ads being streamable/enlargeable... check out Mr. Kipling's Virgin Birth and the NZ Anti-Drug Mutilation!

city-data.com - Planning to move to America anytime soon? "We've collected and analyzed data from numerous sources to create as complete and interesting profiles of thousands of U.S. cities as we could. We have pictures, maps, satellite photos, stats about residents (race, income, ancestries, education, employment...), geographical data, crime data, weather, hospitals, schools, libraries, airports, radio and TV stations, zip codes, area codes, similar cities list, comparisons to averages... If you ever need to research any city for any reason, from considering a move there to just checking where somebody you know is staying, this is the site for you." See? Useful! (Well, for America anyway)

Santarchy! - No force on earth can stop one hundred santas!

The loser's guide to getting lucky - "Why do some people get all the luck while others never get the breaks they deserve? A psychologist says he has discovered the answer." Included are tips on how you, yes YOU, can become lucky too! Oh, and it's a BBC news article for you sceptics out there. Like they say, its all in the mind people...

Hey, big spender: Men lose their fiscal prudence in the presence of attractive women - "You already knew it, but now science has confirmed it: a glimpse of a beautiful woman can change the way a man thinks." Ok so i know i'm a sucker for a pretty face - no surprise there... probably explains my (not so) rare spending spree habits! ;p

Smart soldiers decided to flee the Rings battle - "It's the greatest and most spectacular battle in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. But filmmakers faced one surprising challenge - how to keep the computer-generated soldiers from fleeing the battlefield." Hah! Even the AI knew it was hopeless! (erm... i STILL haven't watched LOTR 3 yet though...)
