Mood: A little manic actually...

Well blogger is down so in the spirit of self-discipline I’m actually typing this on a Word doc… ;)

Yesterday was an extremely hectic day… my aunt came down to visit and we ended up trying to type up my resume based on her advice and experience – and she’s had a lot! She’s currently the regional marketing director for Reemtsma which owns Davidoff, West, R1 and Boss…. Yeah, she’s in the cigarette industry, also used to work for British Tobacco and I remember getting passes for the various events that would come round to KL (like the Kent thing at Sunway lagoon waaay back in ’95). Got through most of it, and she even drew up a list of companies that I should try and contact. She’s also feeling that I should try my hand at marketing/advertising so the top two jobs to look for should be Account Servicing and Copywriting… hmmm, we’ll see where this goes. Also managed to do my gym and swimming for the day…

Also went down to the Monash campus here in KL today… why? Well, take a wild guess… Yes, pat is not a graduate just yet but is actually two electives short (*silent scream* Will it never end?). Dammit, so maybe I had a few problems this semester (erm, which will NEVER be placed in my CV) but its just so damned frustrating!!! GET ME OUT OF UNI!!! Ah well, at least I can do it here and work part-time… and it IS just two electives (think positive, think positive, etc).

Went to my Godfather’s place for dinner with Paul. Michael (my godfather’s son) was there as well with two of his friends, apparently ‘playing with their hamsters’ (whatever THAT means! Geez, with sentences like that and my previous experience with him I am hereby placing a safe bet of $500 that his kid will be a homosexual by the age of 18… hehehe) ;p Great grub, we had melted swiss cheese with some (very) expensive smoked ham, as well as pate, and then spaghetti cooked with Roquefort and sprinkled with a lot of Gruyere… It was absolutely delicious and so deceptively simple to prepare, but a little too much cheese all in all for my liking… ;)

Today I spent most of my time on the computer polishing up the CV, writing out some letters to Monash, and replying to my emails. Got a quick game of squash in with Paul as well as some more swimming… went out for dinner with my dad and brother at the club and then came home to spend more time on the computer. Hrm, had an argument with my dad a while back (strangely enough not on anything remotely related to uni, employment or lifestyle) over the most inane thing, which I am loathe to describe here – but let me reiterate that I truly cannot understand the obsessive minds of people who are over 40. Anyway, we got that settled soon enough, which is good. :)

Hmmm, looks like Janice (if she’s well – get better!) and my buddy Boon are coming down to KL for the festivities tommorow!!! Woot! Should be a great party, and Kwong Heng’s tasked me with gettting the champagne and plastic utensils… hmm, will probably get them when I pick Boon up at about 4pm. Also need to meet up with Joa to get the pics at some point… I’m really quite curious with how they must have turned out. Plan for tommorow is to eat steamboat at KH’s place, get drunk and then spend the night there… only to be followed by a champagne breakfast! Basically we go for a hike and then plop down, drink champagne and get completely wasted at 9am in the morning… well… dammit! I’m a recovering alcoholic for crying out loud!!! ;)

Browsed through some blogs… or tried to, some of them are down but then again so is blogger… Hmmm, wondering about Byron since his is down too… until I relaised that Google and Yahoo are as well! What the hell is going on? :O

Also need to get my New Year’s resolutions together for tommorow… was thinking about this when I went out for a drive earlier on (that, and to cool down from my argument with dad… hmm, its getting harder to not lose my temper these days… and I haven’t lost it in 15+ years!!!). And when I got back I bumped into this girl called Jean and her bf/brother (?) who is my ex’s friend (Jean that is)… and she lives in my tower now! Aaarrrggghhh… complexities which I don’t need at the moment. Well maybe I can meet up with my ex and her friends through her I guess, they were a very fun bunch! ;)

We chatted for a bit in the lift and then I noticed she had this weird habit of touching my arm and hand a lot when saying goodbye. Geez, awkward for me to say the least… guess she’s just a touchy person? Ah well, making mountains out of molehills I guess but I’m feeling a little manic today without my daily cappucino… :)

Anyway, come tommorow its time to PARTY!!! (*doh* And I just got an outbreak of pimples! * sob*)
