Aaaaaand i'm back...0 commentsMood: Ok i guess Currently listening to: Hear You Me - Jimmy Eat World Well actually i've been back since Friday so, yeah, its been a while... ;p It was a good trip all in all... basically ate a lot of seafood, bought a lot of cigars and cigarillos, drank coronas on the beach, went touring around one of the islands, and basically just lazed in the sun all day... ;) Came back and then met up with Louisa, Zamil, Joa, Kwong Heng, Yanti, Priscilla and her sister Fiona over the weekend for drinks and a spot of shopping (although i'm such a miser that i wouldn't buy a thing - Reject Shop all the way! ;p) Am tempted to type more about my trip and weekend but my brother wants to leave his mark in this blog by talking about the Langkawi trip (and in all probability embarassing me with some... er... 'stories' about our childhood) while i got Louisa to type up the weekend's events from her point of view when she gets back home (*ahem* *ahem*)... Man, just taking stock of all that has happened in the last three or four weeks since i've been back and i can only say: Why did i ever leave Malaysia again? ;p Let's see, today went to the gym in the morning and for my usual swim with a little sun tanning thrown in for good measure (i'm hooked now! ;p)... then went to Adecco (they're like a temp agency of sorts) to see if my file from last year was still there, but no such luck... Didn't have my CV on me at the time either so will have to go back tommorow morning. Went to the Actor's Studio for the interview today and it sorta broke down like this: Bartending: 6 days a week (and sometimes Sunday!) from 10-6pm at RM25 per day (!) with some evenings when there are shows from 7-10pm at RM15 (!) Counter dude/usher/lackey: Same rates as above except that its only for about 2 or 3 days a week and one or two nights (i'm basically on call). Call me crazy but that's a really low paying job for the hours that they're asking!!! That and i DO have uni again once March starts (albeit with a very light load)... Hrmmm, miiiight go for the lackey thing but i think i'll see what else i can find... *doh* Need moolah... ;p Picked up my dad's car from the mechanic just now and ran into a Malaysian cloudburst - goddamn that's some heavy rain!!! Ah well, made it back in one piece, which is more than i can say for some of the cars i passed by on the way back (ouch...)! Oh, and the other thing that happened over the weekend, just as i was flying back from Langkawi in fact, was getting a call from Jesse that John Tan had passed away. Erm, not to sound light-hearted here but in typical 'Snafu Pat' style i got the person wrong (i thought it was OSS John Tan, my deputy director at the time) and ended up calling up Joa and Julian to tell them the news, when in fact it was my old colleague from GIS SI John Tan who had actually passed away! (Did not know - at the time - that Jesse knew him, AND i got a msg from Jason as well, so i assumed it was OSS John)*DOH* So when i found out the real news from Kwong Heng i was happy that John Tan was alive, but sad (again) because John Tan was dead... You see what i mean? Oh, and Joa almost strangled me when i told her of my... er... 'boo boo' (sorry guys!) :o AND on top of that when i was trying to call Jesse to confirm this, i ended up calling my modelling agent by accident (whose name is Jess on my phone... why??? WHY ME???) and giving her my sympathies and... er... i think she thinks Jonathan Tan (my buddy from England who came down a while back) has passed away... AAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!! *holds head in hands in shame* Oh man, this whole thing is becoming real morbid real fast... :( Erm... welcome to my life? *thinks - 'i am a blithering idiot'* Still, i was very sorry to hear about the passing away of an old friend. I must confess that i hadn't seen him in some time, except for that chance encounter in Glen Waverley two years ago, but he was a good man - his attempts at bullying me, in a friendly way [?], during secondary school aside :) - with a lot of promise and potential (he graduated fro uni real fast, at 20 if i recall)... Man... to be taken in the prime of his life by cancer? Geez... Must try and contact Sue-Lyn to express my condolensces and the missing his wake... :( Well, dude, if you're reading this all i can say is, hope you're having a small laugh over my (typical) snafu over all of this (and knowing you you probably are!), and that you should have let us know... Why didn't you tell us??? Dammit! I should've tried to get in touch with you but... *sigh* Hey... rest in peace big guy.
