"I never think of the future, it comes soon enough." - Albert Einstein0 commentsMood: Restive Currently listening to: Fly Me to the Moon - Frank Sinatra Another slow day all in all... although i must admit that i have a feeling that this will soon change! No sense, then, in wasting these few precious days by doing something productive... ;) Or maybe i'm just lazy? ;p Let's see... woke up at around 2pm today - which is pretty bad even by even my current slothful standards. Did not sleep well at all last night... two main reasons (as far as i can recall anyway) - i kept picturing that scene in Ju-On where that black creature/girl appears under her victim's bedsheet with that strange clicking sound, AND i swear i heard someone speaking to me at one point saying what sounded like 'where are you?' in an evanescent whisper. Nothing quite like this sort of thing, while you're awake, to produce the same manic effects for the rest of the night as a caffeine overdose. Mind you the whisper came first... *doh* Just in like in Melbourne i'm afraid. Hmmm... a relapse? Best not to think about it. Aaaaanyhow, what did i get up to today? Well, helped my mother with her (immense) amount of shopping at Megamall - which took close to three hours mind you - and also managed to get a bit of shoe browsing time to myself as well. I am desperately in need of a pair of semi-casual shoes right now... ever since my cousin's dog Tiger (aka Satan) chewed my last pair to bits. All i have currently are a very worn pair of sports shoes, a pair of Adidas canvas shoes, and some boots... no slippers even! Argh... And let me just say, for the record, that shopping for shoes and being 6 feet 4 inches with a shoe size of 11.5 UK in Malaysia is not a good thing at all. :( Came back home after that and went to the gym... 'graduated' myself to 10kg weights now since i couldn't feel the burn anymore. Went for a quiet swim after that as well to do my laps and then then had chicken rice 'a la mama' for dinner... Yes. If you haven't guessed it yet i did not attend the dinner hosted by that chef i met last night (by the way, for Louisa, my father brought back a signed copy of the menu and the chef's name is Michel Del Burgo) as my father felt it would be too pricey (and at RM280 a head, i can see his reasoning) for the whole family to attend, so i had to contend with his description and raving of the quality and taste of the whole experience... damn, and he was promising to cook me a gigot as well (after hearing of my Xmas eve snafu through my godfather). However there may yet be a glimmer of hope for my stomach as he just might be coming over to our place on the 7th, and here's to hoping he'll at least bring some dessert... ;p Hrmm... must remember to save up so that i can pay for my own attendance in the near future! ;) Went out with my brother to play some Generals this evening, and then met up with Kwong Heng and his friend for a short while at Orange. It was interesting as he was chaperoning his friend on a date (dare i call it that?) with a girl (plus her friend) with whom he had met on Friendster... only for KH to realise that he knew these girls from secondary school as his juniors, which pretty much wrecked the night for him (don't ask me why... i think undertones of paedophilia were running through his mind! LOL! ;p) - and therefore his friend who had wanted to get to know the girls better without the past becoming an issue at all... I wasn't there at the time, but from the sound of it (and the ribbing we gave him) it must have been interesting! Damn... should have answered my phone earlier! ;p Hrmm... going to Langkawi on the 7th until the 10th for a short holiday with the family. Should be good as the alcohol down there is dirt cheap (to the tune of RM4 Coronas?)... Geez, i've said it before but this whole return to Malaysia can't be good for a guy who had to go to AA!!! ;p Ah well, at least i'm drinking with fine company now! ;) Anyhow, that's the news for tonight... Nitez! Today's Links: Hair Loss Due To Over Masturbation: How to avoid it - "DHT is related to sex and/or masturbation. Recent advances in the treatment of male pattern baldness have reveals that hairloss in males is directly related to DHT. There can masturbation be linked to hairloss?" Proof that masturbation is bad for you? Nooooo!!! You bastards! Now i really have nothing to live for! *ahem* Kidding... mind you this article's grammar is dodgy at best, which somewhat drops my opinion of its authenticity somewhat (funny that, eh?)... ;) Badgers, Badgers, Badgers - [FLASH] I'm sure many of you have seen this one before... but god damn it's catchy!!! ;p The cult 'taking control' of Jackson's life - "AS MICHAEL Jackson spoke for the first time since he was charged with child molestation his loyal spokesman was missing from the Christmas Day taping session for a television special. After more than a decade of service to his pop star boss, Stuart Backerman’s place was taken by Leonard Muhammad, the Nation of Islam chief of staff and newly installed Jackson confidante." *tsk tsk* And the long agony of Michael's life continues... leave him alone already! Malaysian state to enforce Islamic dress code - "Non-Muslim Malaysian women in Opposition-run Terengganu state will not be able to wear short-sleeved blouses, tight-fitting jeans, long skirts with slits or mini-skirts to work in future." *sigh* PAS is at it again i'm afraid... Wave of `bisexual chic' sweeping American high schools - "Some see it as the latest cool trend among girls in America's high schools. Others claim it is just teenagers doing what they do best -- being rebellious. Either way, a wave of "bisexual chic" is sweeping the US. Emboldened by such images as Madonna kissing Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera on a TV awards show, girls are proudly declaring their alternative sexualities at a younger age than ever before." Ah, shades of my birthday party in 2002 - except that we had equality of the sexes that night dammit! Is it really just a phase i wonder? ;p U.S. border closing plans revealed - "The United States would virtually close the Canada-U.S. border if a terrorist attack were launched anywhere near it, according to documents obtained under access-to-information legislation. "One additional terrorist attack, that had its origins in Canada or occurred at, or along, the Canada-U.S. border, would likely cause Congress to lift the drawbridge," warn the documents from the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and Trade. The confidential government documents also sound the alarm over newly implemented U.S. anti-terrorism legislation, warning it could wreak havoc on Ontario manufacturers." Blame Canada indeed... ever thought in hindsight that a small group of religious fanatics could cause such economic havoc? Yeah, they've pretty much already won...
