Well, one assignment down two to go... *groooooaaaaaan*

One's due for Friday while the bigger one is due next Tuesday - its shaping up to be one fucked up weekend... :(

Anyhow, as you can guess, i spent all day once again by my lonesome at uni trying to finish up tommorow's assignment, then went home to work on it some more and then for a session of what i like to call 'midnight gym'... Noticed that ever since my bout of sickness, and not to mention all my time and exercise indoors or at night, i'm as white as a Klansman's ass! Shit, i've got to go swimming more often during the day... ;)

Well tommorow's shaping up pretty well, have to go to uni to do some research on Tuesday's assignment, meet up with Leonard and Andrei, go for my salsa lesson and then - speed dating! Yes, yes, its finally happening... wish me luck! ;p

Watched some MTV (happy birthday VJ Denise! ;p), mainly that Newlyweds thing and The Real World... Geez, talk about famous people trying so hard to act normal, while the normal guys are trying to act so... well... abnormal. Well, at least i hope they don't act this way at home... :o

Damn its late... practice with my throwing knives for a bit and then sleep...

Nitez...

Today's Links: (haven't done this for quite a while eh? So sue me i'm bored and i was reading KungFool!)

Wraiths and race - "To cap it all, the races that Tolkien has put on the side of evil are then given a rag-bag of non-white characteristics that could have been copied straight from a BNP leaflet. Dark, slant-eyed, swarthy, broad-faced - it's amazing he doesn't go the whole hog and give them a natural sense of rhythm."

Flower-Power Could Help Clear Land mines - "A Danish biotech company has developed a genetically modified flower that could help detect land mines and it hopes to have a prototype ready for use within a few years."

The Burqa Band - "In the post taliban Afgahanistan, the taboo of western culture still prevails. Three Afghani girls who wanted to rock and roll formed the 'Burqa Band' but had to wear a burqa during the recording. Their music is now popular in German clubs. "We haven't shown the video in Afghanistan, people there aren't quite ready for it yet," - says the music producer from Germany." There's even a song sample on the site - not too shabby!

'Muslim Refusenik' Incites Furor With Critique of Faith - "In a quick-fire critique, not slowing for apologies, Manji asks questions she says other Muslims are asking in private but dare not ask aloud. "Why are we being held hostage by what's happening between the Palestinians and the Israelis? What's with the stubborn streak of anti-Semitism in Islam? Who is the real colonizer of Muslims -- America or Arabia? Why are we squandering the talents of women, fully half of God's creation?" Hear, hear!

The Tree of Life Webproject - "The Tree of Life is a collaborative web project, produced by biologists from around the world. On more than 2600 World Wide Web pages, the Tree of Life provides information about the diversity of organisms on Earth, their history, and characteristics." Holy crap, check out the scale of this project!

Korean Bodyguards to Protect Jordan's Royal Family - "Each of the five bodyguards to be dispatched to Jordan¡¯s royal family have over 10-degree black belts in various martial arts disciplines such as judo and taekwondo. Three male bodyguards will be placed for 24-hour protection of King Abdullah while two female bodyguards will escort the queen, according to Choi Seung-gap, head of NKTS."
