Weekend again! Woo-hoo!

Will be going to Zouk here in KL for a bit - yes, they opened one here yesterday - with Joa and Julian in order to scope it out... hoping its not too crowded (or insanely expensive) but, hey, this is KL on a Saturday night right? ;)

Ok, time to clean up a few things in the short time that i have before i go out... In a bit of a rush so excuse the manic ramblings...

Soooo... i notice i haven't posted anything for Thursday or Friday...

Thursday: Didn't do too much. Went to uni to try and talk to my tutors but they weren't in so i just hung out with Leonard and company at uni and was also supposed to meet up with Andrei but he was too busy... ah well. Went to a samba class with my mother and her friends (some of whom, if i may so bold, must have been HOT in their prime). Tried not to embarass myself too much but the instructor said i was doing fine for a first timer... Great class! Despite the fact that i'm the only other guy there (the other one is the instructor himself) this actually works out to my advantage as i get one-on-one tutoring because the men's moves are different AND i get to dance with all the lovely ladies... Erm, yeah, i do ask myself some of those questions... To the tune of - "Whoa. What the hell am i doing dancing so close with this woman who's old enough to be my mother!", only to realise that i WAS dancing with my mother moments before that... (yes, yes, very Freudian). Geez its tough being the only male... ;p

Friday: Drove around PJ and KL doing various chores like picking up my cheques and all that... lazed around at home and then watched Hidalgo with Joa and Julian... I thought it was a pretty ok movie (helps if you like horses) but it was a bit drawn out most of the time - i mean, there's only so much a person can take of a horse riding through the desert! 5 best things in this movie:

1. The fact that EVERYONE in the race just continuously disses the hero's mustang ("Hah! You will die before even reaching the first checkpoint outlander!" or "Pheh! Your miserable mixed excuse for a horse will be eating my dust! Bwahaha...") and deems it hopeless for him and that he should leave the race while at the same time trying to get him killed along the way... which is just plain weird since they don't even bother trying to get rid of El-Hattat (champion racehorse o' the world) or anyone else for most of the movie!

2. The complete pessimism of the Hero's goatherder servant who just goes on and on about how, and in what way, the cowboy will die (and the obligatory "get out of the race while you still can" line) - but this guy is HILARIOUS! Watch it just for him...

3. The fact that the Arab love interest just ain't that good looking in my honest opinion... I dunno, maybe its just me?

4. The Arab guy he rescues from quicksand - he's just happily sinking there when our hero approaches... the guy keeps muttering "Don't help me. It is the will of Allah" blah blah blah (one of the rules is not to assist anyone - that and this guy is blathering something about how he should die from dishonor, etc.) and feebly protests as he's yanked out of the quicksand... great scene, damn funny...

5. Can't think of one, must dash now!!!

Today? Didn't do much, just the usual gym and swim routine...

Ok, gotta go!
