"Someone's boring me. I think it's me." - Dylan, Thomas0 commentsMood: Bored (again) Currently listening to: A very loud girl talking about genital herpes to her friend. Yum. Well here i am at the computer labs in the library here at uni with a FOUR HOUR wait until my next lecture. And i'm bored. VERY bored. Not to mention sleepy. Have car but cannot travel (do you KNOW how hard it is to find parking here???). Anyways at least it gives me some time to do my blog eh? ;) And yes i realise that i haven't typed in anything about my weekend so please forgive me - i was having too much fun! ;) Let's see... Friday: Went to uni during the day in order to change my subject and did my gym routine... Picked up Leonard and met up with Joa at Bar Savanh where we had booked a table for eight. Of course, those seats remained empty because of the usual *ahem ahem* excuses from those who had told me that they were coming - excuses which i will reiterate here for my Book of Grudges! Chen Hoe - Had to go for dinner with the family (gah!). Zamil - See above. Kwong Heng - Heartburn... which has lasted for one week (!). Dude i don't think that's heartburn... Various others - not worth remembering... *hmph* Ah well, it was still a good night anyhow (funny how good food and a large bottle of wine does that) and the company was great - also managed to bump into my cousin Stanley at the bar so i got an invite to his dog's birthday at the end of the month(?)... Went to mamak at Bestari's in Sri Hartamas (maggie mee goreng baby YEAH!) after that where we were joined by Zamil. Erm, can't seem to remember anything else by this point, sorry... ;p Saturday: Kept Leonard company at Coffee Bean in the afternoon at One Utama - his girlfriend had taken him to watch Ju-On 2 there but he has this phobia (or rather, overactive imagination) when it comes to watching movies so he had walked out when it started - apparently he was under the impression that they were going to watch Mona Lisa Smile (see? Women = EVIL!)... In the evening i met up with Zamil for dinner and a movie at KLCC - my treat since i owed him for a fun time out when Priscilla & co were down last month. Ate at California Pizza House, which is a fusion pizza restaurant (we had Peking Duck pizza), while we smoked, ate and chatted (mainly about the opposite sex and the all the male bemusement that goes with that) on the balcony overlooking the fountain and main garden of KLCC - yes siree, life is hard here in Malaysia! ;p Watched Timeline after that... not a very impressive movie in my opinion (the casting could have been a LOT better) and i would recommend that you read the book instead... too many interesting facts or situations that were present in the book were omitted giving the movie a very rushed feel to it. Still, i've seen worse so i'll give it two stars on the Pat-o-meter... Went for coffee at Starbucks after that where we were (finally) joined by Chen Hoe for a very badly needed catching up session - or as i prefer to call it, the first meeting of the "Exiled NLC Branch Of The Damned"! Hehe, it really is a full branch as we have one ex-convenor (Zamil), an ex-General Secretary (Chen Hoe) and ex-Liaison Officer (yours truly) - none of whom have actually completed their terms and all of whom subsequently ended up overseas (also without finishing their respective degrees in Australia). Ha! ;) Oh yeah Janice also called to say hi! Chin up gal! ;p We finally left KLCC at about 2am but me and Zamil met up with Kwong Heng (plus, er, 'friend who is female' & company), David and JJ at Bestari again for more drinks and conversation. Two of the girls had gone for speed dating in the previous week and informed me of three key facts: 1) Almost all of the guys there are 'Ah Bengs' (which gives me an advantage! Woot!) 2) Its 7 minutes to chat to each person 3) There ARE some REALLY nice girls there (erm, so how come they're single? Not 'bunny boilers' i hope... :p) Hehe, this should be fun! ;) Sunday: Went to see Master Chin again with Joa (who i dragged along in order to prevent last week's experience from happening again) for a tarot reading. Chose Love/Relationship and Carreer and here's what i remember (hey Joa! did i miss anything? I mean selective memory and all...) Love: - I easily fall in love, but i don't get into relationships easily. - I will find myself in a love triangle (i think he was saying that i would have feelings for someone but that person would be in a relationship - and this would happen often. Ye olde 'impossible dream' phenomenon i guess?). - When i get married someone in either mine or my partner's family will be opposed to the marriage or somesuch (yay.)... Career: - People will talk behind my back at work (last thing they'll ever do mark my words... ;p) - I always want to play leader. - I try and control everyone around me - a little too overbearing at times. - That i will not call the colour white even if everybody else is told to say it is so... - That things have to be done my way. Well, RM30 down the drain again - he didn't tell me anything useful about my career at all! I mean, how about what i will do, will i be successful, etc... Of course something VERY interesting, er, 'occured' but i'm sworn not to tell (hehehe...) Met up with Zamil after that at the KTV lounge in Bangsar Shopping Centre for some good ol' Karaoke fun and lunch - and at RM20 for the whole set its pretty damn affordable! It was good but let me put it this way - Zamil sings SO well that when either Joa or i sings (particularly me *sniff*) it just sounds so much worse... :p Oh and by the way, in case anyone is wondering, Zamil has made it through the first round of the Akademi Fantasia! For those who don't know its like a Malaysian singing talent show in a similar vein to American Idol - which also reminds me that there will be a Malaysian Idol coming up! Zamil Idris Fan club anyone? ;) *phew* And that brings me to today. I'm at uni and i am sleepy. Yep - nothing more to add. :( Gotta book now, laterz...
