Happy Easter (if you're into that sorta thing)0 commentsMood: Pretty tired Currently listening to: Special K - Placebo Woo... pretty good weekend all in all - thank God thats over because i don't think my wallet could take another hit like that... :p Ok lets do a quick recap... Friday: Went to uni to do some work and all that... Nobody happened to be around (Zamil is in Penang, Joa and Jules in S'pore, Leonard working, etc, etc) so got a call from Chen Hoe who happened to be just as bored. Hadn't seen him for a while now so we went to watch a movie at KLCC - "Walking Tall". Erm... starring The Rock. Watched the preview and quipped to Chen Hoe that it looked like your typical vigilante ex-special forces dude going nuts and taking on the casino in his town and, obviously, winning. And yeah, unfortunately that was pretty much the movie. Ex-wrestling stars really should stop making these things - its just... bad. Like REAL BAD. If you're in the mood for suicide i highly recommend it. Most memorable line? "I can't believe you stabbed me with a potato peeler." Ate at TGIF after that and followed it up with coffee and conversation on everything from the origins of the middle east to Armenia and just basically checking out the girls and hanging out. All good. ;) Saturday: Went to One Utama with my parents but mainly hung around with Leonard and his gf who were working at the time. Went to Sri Hartamas to chat with (very stressed) Kwong Heng - dude, like calm down and think things through - and then went to the gym. For the evening i had organised a table at Karma in Sri Hartamas (nice place btw - bit like Bar Savanh) to which Chen Hoe and some ex-MUISS members (Edwin et al) were to attend. In conjunction with this Quentin and Kwong Heng were also going to be there at the same place for their ex-Boss's bachelor party. Long story short, a good (and drunken) night with many people was had by all. Can't remember all that much but the fact that i can still smell the alcohol in my breath/body right now should be a pretty good testimony to the night... ;p Also got a call from Janice so that was nice - yes, i will try to get a phone card! ;p Mainly hung around with my dad today while my mother had to go to some Alliance ceremony. Hung around the market with him for coffee, had a swim after that and yeah... that's about it. Dunno, not really in the mood for typing at the moment. Feels like i'm doing it more for reference's sake than anything else. Maybe i'll type some more later... Later. 6 things you really should know ;p Poll: Most Americans Oppose Gay Marriage - "Most Americans oppose gay marriage and many believe homosexuality is "against God's will," but otherwise consider themselves tolerant of gays, according to a Los Angeles Times poll. By a margin of 55 to 41 percent, those polled agreed with the statement that "if gays are allowed to marry, the institution of marriage will be degraded." About half favored a U.S. constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union between a man and a woman, while 42 percent opposed it, according to the poll published Saturday on the newspaper's Web site." "Weird Al" Yankovic's parents found dead - "The elderly parents of Grammy-winning recording artist "Weird Al" Yankovic were found dead in their home, apparently victims of carbon monoxide poisoning, officials said." Too much spirit kills sorcerer - "A SRI Lankan magician killed himself during a black magic ritual to harness evil forces after he was overwhelmed by the spirits he had drunk, rather than those he was trying to cast spells on, a press report said today." Schwarzenegger rescues swimmer off Maui coast - "A swimmer off the coast of Maui probably is alive because of Arnold Schwarzenegger. "Access Hollywood" says the California governor was in the water swimming towards his wife Maria Shriver when he passed by a man who was having trouble swimming and breathing." 'US is bigger threat than terror' - "Globalisation and the US pose a more serious threat to the world than war and terrorism, according to a BBC poll. Corruption came second on a list of the biggest problems facing the world, the survey of BBC viewers worldwide found. Conflicts - war and terrorism - ranked third, with 50%, followed by hunger, 49%, and climate change with 44%." Cripple legs after lover - "WHEELCHAIR-bound Michael Goodwin found the strength to walk — to launch a furious attack on his wife’s lover. Goodwin, 39, jumped out of his motorised wheelchair, CHASED Chris Saxalby and hurled knives at him."
