Mood: A tad down *sniffle*

Lazy day for the most part today... mainly hung around the house doing some reading and ICQing with a spot of gym and swimming mixed in for good measure. Ah yes, ain't life (excitingly) grand?

So anyhow, moving right along, i ended up accompanying my father for dinner with his business partner and acquaintance Didier at Flam's in Bangsar. Good grub, cynical conversation, copious quantities of wine and my first taste of a flam (sorta like a mix between a crepe and a pizza - crazy Belgians) made it an altogether pleasant, and very filling, experience. Mmmmm... flam... ;p

After that i decided to continue my night out back at Alexis in order to listen to a little jazz. Place was pretty crowded (with couples no less *SIGH*) and i didn't really want to trouble the waiters with a table for one, so i ended up sitting at the bar/pizza making facility. Man, what a bad idea that was...

It all started just about when i ordered my glass of house red, lit a ciggie, and realised that i was the only one sitting at the bar... And that's when i caught people glancing at me, and not in a 'my what a cutie' sorta way, more like 'awww... he looks so lonely' or 'poor guy'. Geez. How do i know this? Well the bartender/pizza maker tried to start up a conversation with 'Hey, wanna talk about it?'. What the? So i just replied that i was here for the music and he just goes off saying, 'Hey no problem man, just checking...'. Yie! Ok, so maybe sitting by my lonesome on what looks like couples night listening to (granted, rather moody) jazz - which was pretty good btw - may make me look a little, well, off but c'mon i don't think i looked so down. At least i don't think i did...

Then ANOTHER guy (Aussie of course) came up to me with the same thing. Damn it, by this point i really was beginning to get seriously depressed (sad love songs never help) with old thoughts and all that... *argh* What? No single people sit at bars in Malaysia? Yeesh...

That and you KNOW its time to leave when the band actually dedicates a song to 'the sad and lonely looking guy at the bar'. Depressing really. *sighz*
