Un jour comme les autres0 commentsMood: Wistful Currently listening to: Fly Me To The Moon - Diana Krall Another lazy Sunday. *siiiigh* Basically didn't do anything of any note aside from downloading a few songs of the Hermes House Band, staring despondently (but not doing anything) at my charcoal sketches and went swimming in a thunderstorm. Yup, nothing productive's getting done. Bleh. Saturday night was marginally more interesting. Started off with my three hour (!) French class in the afternoon as per usual and then joined Kwong Heng at KLCC to watch Super Sapiens (or Hellboy to those of you lucky enough to be outside Malaysia). Damn near lost my phone at the food court as well, through my own sheer idiocy of course, but thankfully security (and morality, as well as moderate economic prosperity i suppose) was kind enough to have housed the phone in their booth. Then again, maybe its because i've got a crap model? ;p Walked around in the KLCC gardens with Kwong Heng for a bit after the movie, seeing as it was still yet too early to meet up with Chen Hoe. It was my first time sampling those normally crowded gardens and i must admit that one does have to be impressed with the size and style of the whole thing (in the middle of KL no less), as well as the quiet and tranquility inherent in the area. Now if only half of it didn't resemble a damn water park... That, and if the guards were just that much nicer about ejecting Kwong Heng and myself from the park, whistles and all (for 'potential crimes against nature' i expect ;p). So anyhow, i met up with Chen Hoe after that, and we went to Bangsar to see Zamil. Or rather, there was a slight misunderstanding where i could not differentiate that what Zamil implied was 'coffee' over the phone, was in actuality 'karaoke'. My mistake entirely Zams! Its a common enough mistake i suppose... (?) Hung out with Chen Hoe for the rest of the night in Sri Hartamas where we ate at Bestari, played pool at Bistro 1957, wandered around to check out some places for the following weekend, and then went to Devi's Corner to surprise Zamil (it was about 4am by this time)... Hrmm, quite a way to kill 4 or 5 hours, and at a very affordable rate may i add - THIS is what lepaking is all about! ;p In hindsight, i was quite surprised that we could keep the conversation going for such a long period of time - everything from that quintessential topic of men (aka women/love) to trying to find a catchy name for Zamil's fan site once he gets on Malaysian Idol (Zamalicious?). One is truly never at a loss for words (or honesty/concern) when around the best of friends i suppose... ;) Final part of the night was picking Selina up in KL from her Bukit Tinggi promo thing and taking her home to Sunway. Sure, its a bit of a drive but i consider it penance on my part for all those rides i got when i was a (hopeless) international student back in Melbourne, thanks to Alex, Chen Hoe and Zamil. Hey, now that i'm on the other end of the coin i feel its only fair, so if anyone out there (in KL that is) needs a ride, i'm your man! ;) Came back home at about six... a time which is always readily identifiable around here since that's the time when the morning prayers commence. My mother was still awake when i got home and i got a bit of a dressing down for coming back so late. Argh! Don't you hate that? Still, its comforting to know that someone cares... :) Well, that's today's snapshot of life in KL. It's raining now, and all is quiet in the house, not a sound being heard, not even a mouse (or cicak for that matter ;p) Gonna surf around for a bit and pop back on icq methinks... Sleep is for the weak.
