Feels like a Saturday

Mood: Tired
Currently listening to: Pizzicato Five - Girl From Ipanema

Time for a quick recap:

Saturday: Went to French class through abominable weather only to find that more than half the class had failed to show up in the first place. Found out that there's no class next Saturday (good) and that there will be a three hour test the week after that (bad). Oh well - i'll probably just wing it seeing as my French has improved dramatically in the last month or so. Getting cocky, heh. ;)

On another note exams are around the corner and i'm in a whole world of shit. Damn. Looks like one more semester is on the books. :(

Came back home, only to realise that my father had eaten my dinner (grrr) in his mistaken belief that i had gone out to 'hang out' as opposed to going to my French classes. Oh well. At least i could be smug in my temporary moral superiority. Much prefer to eat alone anyhow...

Finally started replying to various peoples calls, which always ended up with their first words being along the lines of "Oh my God!!! He picked up!!!" or "What? WHAT? Pat? Are you still alive?" and so forth. As someone said, if it wasn't for my fanatical updating of this blog most of them would have lit candles and mourned (celebrated?) my mysterious and silent passing from this world. Ah well... Hrmm, can't believe i disappeared for a month - felt like a week at most. ;)

Took the unprecedented step of having mamak with Joa, Julian, Chen Hoe, Edwin and company at Bestari's that night, although i did turn down their offer of going to Passions. Yeah, it was good to see you all physically again... ;)

Conversation over the drinks, ramli burgers and maggie mee gorengs was, as always, varied. Including one rumour brought up by Edwin asking if i had, indeed, modelled for a gay magazine (???). To this i ask the question: They have homosexual oriented magazines in circulation in Malaysia? News to me! ;)

Other than that most of the conversation seemed to be sidelined between Joa and Edwin discussing some sort of new accounting standard that has just been introduced in Malaysia or somesuch *yaaaaawn*... Other PWC or ex-PWC employees would invariable know what this is about. *i say again: yaaaaawn*

Hrm, apparently i'm a lot paler and thinner/plumper (depending on who you talk to) than before, which i'll take as an indicator for me to commit myself more diligently to exercising again.

Today: Was awake for almost the entire night and slept very fitfully to boot. I recall having another strange dream, but for the life of me i can't seem to remember anything about it at the present (don't you hate that?). Hung around at home all day attempting to do my assignment (which is still going agonizingly slowly), watching the japanese kids having some sort of swimming competition, and just aimlessly surfing the net.

Yup.

Sunday.

Speaking of surfing around check out Brutally Honest Personals: "Some are overweight. Others are crippled by debt. Quite a few live with their parents. But they all have one thing in common: They are available. And they've put themselves out there with the hope of finding someone willing to accept them at face value. So, please, scan their profiles. You may not get exactly what you want, but at least you know exactly what you're getting." Talk about honesty! That and you can actually place your own ad there... What on earth would i put? ;p

And in other online craziness there's an actual organisation called 'Mothers Against Peeing Standing Up' (MAPSU) to which they claim that: "Peeing standing up destroys families. Who cleans the bathrooms in your house? Your mother? Your wife? Even if you clean up after yourself, what happens when you are a guest at someone's home, over at your friend's house, visiting the inlaws, or using a public bathroom? Why should someone else have to suffer for your unwillingness to sit down?" Imagine if they decided to become a political interest group... Oh, and they sell T-shirts! Now THAT's making a statement... ;)

Currently reading two articles, one about a Lithuanian theme park designed as a gulag which has been nicknamed Stalin World (those krrrrazy East Eurpoeans!) and an article entitled 'How Parents Can Prevent Homosexuality'. Interesting. ;)

Ok, i'm out of here!
