Mood: I got prescribed some new pills today! :)
Currently listening to: Toccata & Fugue In D Minor - Bach, Johann Sebastian

Vlah! I am Count Dracula! Rarrr!

Gotta love Toccata and Fugue eh? ;)

Another day like any other which once again mainly saw me staying at home. Yup, nothing much to write home about. Nada. Zilch.

Not feeling imaginative either so this post will just have to consist of these words and a few choice news links from around the web.

How boring. Makes me wonder at all why i should write anything in the first place but, hey, i figured i might as well stick to routine today. Maybe i'll strike up the mood tommorow. Maybe not. Heh.

Cosmopolitan: Israeli women sexually assertive - "In Israel, women join the army at the age of 18, and their fast, high-adrenaline lifestyle spills over into their sex lives," Lea Kantor-Matarrasso, the editor of Israeli Cosmo, told the American version of the magazine. The article, a contemporary Kama Sutra expos , gives an insight into varying foreplay and sex techniques used by different nationalities. As well as being one of the leaders in bed, Israeli women hold the top percentage - 52% - of Israeli Cosmo readers in watching porn." Let's ask an Israeli - Abe! Is this true?

Christians look to form 'new nation' within U.S. - Calling the approval of same-sex marriage in Massachusetts "the straw that broke the camel's back," a group of Christian activists is in the beginning stages of an effort to have one state secede from the United States to become its own sovereign nation. "Our Christian republic has declined into a pagan democracy," says Cory Burnell, president of ChristianExodus.org, a non-profit corporation based in Tyler, Texas. "There are some issues people just can't take anymore, and [same-sex marriage] might finally wake up the complacent Christians." Bunch of religious nut cases at it again. Hmm, a rare instance of a fundamentalist Christian theocracy in the offing? Oh, i'm sorry - i think i just described most of America. ;)

Jaguar's F1 tie-in loses its sparkle - Jaguar's Formula One team had tried to bring a little extra sparkle to yesterday's Monaco grand prix. Embedded in the nose cone of two of its cars was a button-sized diamond, as part of a promotion for the forthcoming Hollywood film Ocean's 12. But Jaguar's afternoon lost its shine when the Austrian driver Christian Klien crashed his car and the £140,000 gem vanished. *groan* Who's the budding brain surgeon who didn't see that one coming...

Report Urges Tighter Nuclear Controls - Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. wondered aloud one day in 2002 whether someone could build an atomic weapon from parts available on the open market. His audience, the leaders of the government's nuclear laboratories, said it could be done. Then do it, the Delaware Democrat, then chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, instructed the scientists in a confidential session. A few months later, they returned to the soundproof Senate meeting room with a workable nuclear weapon, missing only the fissile material. "It was bigger than a breadbox and smaller than a dump truck, but they were able to get it in," Biden said in a recent speech. The scientists "explained how -- literally off the shelf, without doing anything illegal -- they actually constructed this device." Talk about giving Bin Laden ideas. See? Blu-tak can do ANYTHING! ;p

Berg beheading: No way, say medical experts - American businessman Nicholas Berg's body was found on May 8 near a Baghdad overpass; a video of his supposed decapitation death by knife appeared on an alleged al-Qaeda-linked website (www.al-ansar.biz) on May 11. But according to what both a leading surgical authority and a noted forensic death expert separately told Asia Times Online, the video depicting the decapitation appears to have been staged. "I certainly would need to be convinced it [the decapitation video] was authentic," Dr John Simpson, executive director for surgical affairs at the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, said from New Zealand. Echoing Dr Simpson's criticism, when this journalist asked forensic death expert Jon Nordby, PhD and fellow of the American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigators, whether he believed the Berg decapitation video had been "staged", Nordby replied: "Yes, I think that's the best explanation of it." He makes a good point later on in the article - there was no massive arterial bleeding from the severed head!

What's that? You never watched the video (courtesy of Ogrish.com)? Seriously, its not so bad - there are better pictures on Rotten or Stile Project... ;)

And on that pleasant note i'm out of here.
