Pretty busy day today.

Woke up, had lunch and then went for salsa. Pretty fun with more emphasis on freely going at it (AND looking good). I kinda suck at this freestyling thing though - i prefer a certain rigidity to it all, but hey i'm persevering.

I will BE the dancing queen!!! ;p

There was an alcohol fuelled after party (dance?) when the lesson ended, courtesy of one of the ladies (Eudith) who lives in the apartment complex where we conduct lessons in. Champagne was GOOD. Oh God, even now i feel the twitching of my alcohol deprived liver... Hrmmm, i DO have a bottle of Glenlivet around here though...

No! Must be responsible with alcohol! Yes, must not go back to AA... Alcohol bad! Bad! *sob* :(

Left the party early, partly in order to prepare for my tennis match against Choong (my neighbour and tennis partner) and partly to escape the presence of so many women. I find it mildly... threatening? Is that the word? Well, uncomfortable at any rate. Is that strange?

Meh.

Anyhow, played tennis against Choong in the evening. As you may know i haven't exactly done any exercise for the last three weeks, what with me being against venturing out into the world and all that, so in typical style i was trying to pass it off. He was insistent though, and i'm glad for that! Ahhh, it was good to get the old competitive juices boiling again... Think i might even hit the gym again. Pain. So good. Mmmm...

Well, he DID beat me 6-4 6-3 in a non-stop two hour match - and given the fact that we took virtually no breaks during the entire period the time this fact alone should be indicative of it being one hell of a match *ahem*. And it was! Seriously, it was the tennis equivalent of Stalingrad with countless deuces being fought over for what seemed like an agonising eternity! Good match, he deserved to win. But i'm getting my groove back dammit! The last time i played him (about two months back) i was whitewashed 6-1 6-1 in a matter of 45 minutes... Vengeance will be MINE!!! *evil laughter*

Stayed at home after that, as i was in no shape to go to Zouk with Kwong Heng for the Guinness Black event which he had forced upon me. Watched Shallow Hal, downloaded about a gig of mp3s, and then subjected myself to the agonizing torture of watching my mother's video of her boating trip the other day. Never have i seen so many faux gold embossed sunglasses, tacky Country Road hats, and cellulite all in one concentrated location. *shudder* And the karaoke they sang! *bleargh*

There is certainly something to be said about age and that's... er... better not actually - my mother does occasionally read this after all. ;p

Still, they looked like they were having enough fun gambling, chatting, shopping and tanning (including their humourous attempt at recreating the Titanic scene on the, rather unstable, prow of the boat. Use your imagination). Ah well, more fun than i'm having i suppose... ;)

And now i will collapse into what feels like a brain tumour induced coma.

Tommorow is going to be a busy day.
