Hey, At Least I Left The House Right?0 commentsMood: Just like the previous entry - meh. Currently listening to: The thundering silence Shit, its 5am and i have to go for karaoke at 11am with Joa in the morning - gonna make this super quick (what with me having posted some news and all in the previous post)... Ok, mainly hung around at home doing various things for most of the morning and afternoon - muscles aching, so decided to take a breather from going to the gym today. On a bright note - my ankle has fully healed! Hah! Five days no less - thank you hyper metabolism... ;) Went for the final season show of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra with my mother in the evening. They performed the entirety of Mahler's 7th Symphony, which as a whole was pretty pleasant - useful too, since he had a penchant for using huge orchestra sizes, thus allowing all the MPO's members to participate in this final performance! I just wished that they took their normal 'half-time' break this time around... Sorta fell asleep during the 2nd Movement to boot *rolls eyes*. Yup, all good though - and the ladies were dressed in their best as always! *rawrrrr* ;p Went out with Joa and Julian straight after that, suit and all, for a night on the town. Hung out at Barfly, followed by that lounge place underneath Passions (great music there btw - very Cafe Del Mar) for more drinks and topped off by some Gloria Jean's coffee. It was a rather casual affair all in all. Jules was sleepy from having too much wine for dinner, while i was just too plain tired/disinterested/impotent tonight to even bother trying to appoach anyone as per plan. Sorry that i made for lousy company tonight Joa! I promise more entertainment the next time to make up for it ok? ;) On the bright side of things, service becomes pretty good when you're the only guy there looking like some sort of financial consultant! Maybe that image conference woman has something going for her after all... ;p Came back home and discovered that someone has actually sent me an email in regards to my Tickle Matchmaking profile! Now there's a first... too bad she's in the US though (and without a pic). Ah well... Oh, and yeah, its a little experiment of my own (seeing as i'm doing the whole... erm... 'interest in girl' thing these days) which i'm trying just to see if this whole online matchmaking thing actually works - i've set up proper profiles on Tickle, True and *ahem* Adult Friend Finder (whaaaat? Its worth a shot!). I've also been sending out a plethora of 'winks', 'icebreakers' and 'hugs' since i'm too cheap to pay for their services but i have managed to shrewdly sneak my email/blog address into the profile so hopefully the girls will catch on. Wiah me luck! ;) Ok, thats about it... now for some quick entertainment/tidbits: NEWGROUNDS Heh. I'm pretty sure that many of you out there would have heard about Newgrounds, but for the uninitiated it will DESTROY what little spare time you have left! Its basically a site dedicated to FLASH animations that are submitted by people in the hundreds each day - they range from games and story animations on all sorts of wacky, entertaining characters all of which you can rate. Many are HILARIOUS, some are challenging, and other are... well... 'kinky' to say the least (check out how many FLASH 'date a girl' games they have there). If its appeared on the Net, chances are likely that you can find that very same FLASH animation here! Have fun! ;p IN THE MALAYSIAN NEWS Yeah, this is the main news thats going around KL at the moment... A Malaysian and 10 Thai nationals have been arrested following the death of a student who was beaten up by a group of men whom he had confronted for teasing him about how he was courting his girlfriend. The police are looking for four more people to assist investigations into the killing of Mr Darren Kang Tien Hua, 23, at a restaurant in Desa Sri Hartamas, Assistant Commissioner Zul Hasnan Najib Baharudin said yesterday. The 11 men arrested yesterday are all restaurant workers between 18 and 25 years old. They are now in police custody. Mr Kang, a second-year law student at Sheffield University in England, was walking with his fiancee, Miss Goh Win See, 24, towards Uncle Don restaurant when the incident occurred at 3.30am on Monday. Miss Goh said they had left a nearby nightspot and decided to have supper at the restaurant. 'I was ahead of Darren as we walked to the restaurant. When I turned back to ask him to hurry up, he said that if I wanted him to catch up, I should say that I loved him. When I said that I did, several of the men seemed to laugh at Darren and were making comments. The 23-year-old law student was beaten up by a group of men when he confronted them after they teased him over the way he courted his girlfriend. 'This agitated Darren who then confronted one of them, asking why the group had behaved in such a way.' She said that she pleaded with Mr Kang not to approach the men. 'One of them got up from his seat and began swearing at Darren, with several others joining in. Within seconds, four of them cornered Darren and began kicking and punching him repeatedly. 'They used sticks and plastic chairs to hit Darren,' she said. When a shopowner and staff members intervened, the group fled on motorcycles. Mr Kang was taken to the Damansara Utama Specialist Centre where he was pronounced dead on arrival at 4.15am. His body was then taken to the University of Malaya Medical Centre. Argh, in Sri Hartamas - right next to my place - no less! Dammit, you've really gotta wonder about people these days... I think the saddest part is that NO ONE called the cops! They only heard about it when the hospital received his body and they had to make a report for any non-natural death which they discovered. Weird. Oh, and apparently Selina had met him before through her friend some time ago - apparently he was quite the hothead in the first place, which might make the circumstances a little more muddled than they seem. After all, mamak workers don't usually (to my knowledge) jump into fights too willingly. WHICH HAPPY BUNNY ARE YOU? Sel's been bugging me to do this so here you go. I give in... *sob* you are the "you suck, and that's sad" happy bunny. your truthful, but can be a bit brutal. which happy bunny are you? brought to you by Quizilla Hey, i DO suck! And i AM sad! So... very... sad... *sniff* And although i suck, may i just say that i do suck well... ;p Anyway, i'm outta here... ciao.
