Copper

Stumbled across this webcomic - Copper - a while ago and its really well-drawn and touching at times - that and i really like his take on various aspects of the world. Very Calvin & Hobbes in many ways... ;)

Project Gutenberg 2



Ah, yes, i still recall being introduced to the Gutenberg Project by none other than Erez (Abe) when we were still both living in our uni hostel back in Melbourne. Its basically a depository of digitized books with the intention of allowing great literature to be accessed by anyone and everyone. You can find the new version of this project here. Hah! Never shall i ever need to look for another book to read! On the other hand reading from the monitor is a sure path to premature blindness... if only i had my PDA. ;)

Just managed to download a book which i've really wanted to read for some time now - ye olde tale of Don Quixote of La Mancha, by Cervantes - which is also strangely the very same book whose search led me to use the original Project Gutenberg in the first place! ;p

Appleseed

Loved the manga, loved the short anime series which they had, and i think i just fell in love with the CGI influenced remake which they're about to do of this awesome story! And its being done by no one other than Pixar themselves - which it means it MUST be good!

The official Appleseed Movie site also has various kickass trailers from the movie which are a definite must to check out - the animation is just AMAZING. Damn, i think i just wet myself thinking about it... ;p

Oh, and the soundtrack's pretty badass as well with Groove Armada, Paul Oakenfeld and Basement Jaxx to name a few - sweet!!!

*wipes drool from mouth*

Oh, and see if you can't spot the origins of one of my nicks in there - it wasn't the first influence on me but it was a damn close second... ;)
