A Life Too Ordinary

Mood: SLEEPY.
Currently listening to: Paul's voice (damned gogot)

So, yeah, sorry about to y'all about the update (or lack of) yesterday but i kinda fell asleep as soon as my head touched the couch.

Tired right now. And i can't think either so this post'll just serve as a quick update on my meanderings over the past few days or so (which is the POINT of my blog).

No attempt at wit will be made.

Friday: Worked. Went to visit Albert at the hospital in the evening. He was still relatively badly off. Found out that everyone was busy/unavailable that night so i spent my Friday night doing some 'midnight gymming'. Bleargh.

Saturday: Dance class with my mother, continuing with the jive. Went for French class in the afternoon. Lots of new faces there since this is the beginning of the new semester. Amused everyone during the oral session by acting like a drunk, prissy, Belgian rock star.

Well... i thought it was amusing.

Visited Al at the hospital again. Watched the Mythbusters on Discovery bury dead pigs in their sidewalk while trying to find Jimmy Hoffa in the Giants stadium. Funky little show that.

Met up with Chen Hoe and his old MUISS colleagues at Souled Out, followed by Karma. Zamil and his... 'acquaintance' stopped by as well. ;)

Was fun.

Sunday: Spent most of the afternoon at the hospital with Al. Brought my brother along to point and stare at him. Alvin swung by as well. Went to the opening of his friend's bakery after that for coffee and pastries (its the new one right next to Coffee Bean in Mont Kiara). I ate a sausage between two buns.

Met up with Zamil in the evening for dinner at KLCC with his two friends Shai (a newscaster at 8TV) and Suffiah (of Malaysian Idol fame). Spent most of the time chatting but in the main listening to the various goings on behind the current Malaysian Idol scene, but i'll say this for sure: The man keeps a lot of good looking company these days. ;)

Chen Hoe stopped by for coffee afterwards and all three of us reminisced to a time, almost exactly one year ago, when the three of us met in the exact same place under different circumstances: Zamil wondering if he could make it as a singer, and myself and Chen Hoe being freshly exiled from Melbourne and wondering what to do now that we were back.

Well... at least one of us has made it.

Oh, that and more random gossiping about... 'various things'. ;)

Monday: Work, work, work, gym, gym, gym. Swung by Al's place in the evening to hang out and welcome him home. Watched some crazy Indian Fear Factor thing on AXN. They basically had this guy drive through a burning bus on a motorcycle for a t-shirt. A bus with FLAMETHROWERS inside.

Makes you wonder if India's the only place where they can get away with this...

Tuesday: Work, work, work, and... zzz.

Wednesday: As above, but met up with Al and Chen Hoe for dinner at the Chinese kopitiam in Hartamas followed by some drinks at Bestaris. Witnessed the authorities raiding the mamak while we were in it. They took some chairs, tables, and the Tandoori stall complete with kiln.

As someone put it, maybe they were just setting themselves up for a (tandoori?) party over the long weekend? ;)

Urgh. Headache.

Work again *sigh*...
