Hey all, this one is Joa's idea for the Saturday night! Never watched it before, but its supposed to be an awesome movie, so i'm pretty excited about this...

As usual, details are provided below. However, if memory serves me correctly, the saturday French movie showings at the Alliance are usually free however i have heard the occasional rumour that they actually charge for it (RM5 to RM10, which is pretty miniscule really).

Synopsis:

Une adaptation tres personnelle par Jean Cocteau de la legende d'Orphee.
Orphee est un poete obsede par une Princesse. Ils tombent amoureux l'un de l'autre. Eurydice, la femme d'Orphee, est tuee par les hommes de main de la Princesse et Orphee poursuit sa femme aux Enfers. Bien qu'ils soient devenus dangereusement impliques, la Princesse ramene Orphee sur Terre afin de continuer sa vie avec Eurydice.

A very personal adaptation of the legend of Orphee, by Jean Cocteau.
Orphee is a poet who becomes obsessed with a Princess. They fall in love. The Princess' henchmen kills Orphee's wife, Eurydice, and Orphee goes after her into the Underworld. Although they have become dangerously entangled, the Princess sends Orphee back out of the Underworld, to carry on his life with Eurydice.
