Mood: Tired...
Reading: New drug acts as marijuana in the brain (For that safe and artificial high! Woo!)
Currently listening to: Sugar We're Going Down - Fallout Boy
Quote of the day: "Blessed is he who expects nothing, for he shall never be disappointed." - Alexander Pope

Just a quick ramble of sorts... Been a while eh?

First off, many apologies to those who have mentioned to me that this blog has now truly turned into nothing more than an events calendar (and not a bad one at that may i add) spruced up with the occasional news article of interest or... uh... other inane items.

So much for that promise to recount my life on day by day basis.

Oy.

(Actually, wait, thats not quite true... i've written some of it down in my French tuition exercise book for recounting at a later date...)

Might as well get the rest of the apologies out of the way while i'm at it - so, yeah, sorry for the lack of updates this week (*glances at tagboard*) but i've been incredulously busy to the tune of working until midnight and beyond with Vikram and, this morning, waking up at the VERY miserable hour of 6am (Heck, that's not even counting how busy we've been in the weeks leading up to this).

For what?

Well, the company i'm in (NSS) has finally launched our product into the telco big leagues as of today with TM Net having held a press conference regarding the launch of our product, XMS! And, since yours truly is the Marketing & Communications manager at NSS you can just about imagine the amount of details and documentation that is taking place in the background prior to the event (which was a TM Net organized one - great job guys!). The media turnout was much better than expected and, as i type this, Google has informed me that two news articles concerning the event have already popped up on the web with more to follow come morning (you can spot 'em here and here).

Heck, even TV3 was there and if you're lucky you might be able to spot me giving a demo of XMS to one of the journos... ;)

Here's to hoping for some extensive coverage in the business section of tomorrow's (today's?) papers! :)

Oh, did i mention that i'm holding a variety of positions at the moment?

Count 'em:

1. Business Development Manager (my official/original designation)
2. Marketing & Communications Manager (temporarily taken over since our MarComm left - been at it for a month now)
3. Markets and General research mon-keigh
4. They call me 'Oddjob' since i'm also given some totally unrelated 'side projects' as well... *sly wink*

Yes. Life is busy. *sob sob*

Anyhow, my much vaunted and worshipped 'schedule' now lies in tatters thanks to an utterly devilish combination in the past 3-4 weeks of longer working hours, travel, and sickness (plus some minor toe surgery) which has left me in a rather pitiful physical state at the moment along with some badly unpracticed salsa moves and one really lousy golf swing.

Argh.

Must. Rectify.

Oh, just to let you all know - i'll be going off to visit my grandparents in Nice, France, from the 20th Dec till the 3rd of Jan for a well deserved - IMHO - vacation with my family. This, of course, means that i'll be missing out on the awesome Xmas and New Year parties being planned this year, although Kwong Heng has been nice enough to invite me for a 'Proxy Xmas' party this Friday, in exchange for Nice in the winter (read: there's NOTHING to do there. Summer rocks though). However, rumour has it that this time around me and Paul, my brother (did i mention he's back in KL for good?), might be having an apartment to ourselves this time around! Given the amount of potential mischief and mass devastation that this may cause it suddenly doesn't look all that bad anymore... *insane cackle*

So, yeah. I guess thats all i wanted to say. Look out for a few posts or even one gigantic one in the coming days recalling all the past events including my Thailand trip, illness, dinner reviews, and more...

Less filler, more blither!

Oh, and welcome to KL Boonie boy... ;)
